06: Thankful phodeez
something to be thankful for
Some people are get comfortable with where they at
They don’t lack back and remember what they didn’t have before
They aren’t thankful phodeez
phodeez cold calls…
And instead - look forward to what they don’t have now
Kinda weird… especially when that “thing” they envision to make themselves happier is a new car + debt to get it
It’s crazy that we live in a world where we talk to a mic connected to a computer and get payed to interrupt people’s day
If you told that to my 13 year old self cold calling craigslist ads and trying to argue with them with my british accent - I would have had a heart attack
One thing I’m darn thankful for is just being able to wake up whenever, lay in bed with my 2 sons and wife in the morning, get tackled by my almost 2 year old before work, and hear them laugh throughout the day
Always thought I’d be slaving away in an office in a big city
Flip that lol -
Some of you reading this likely still envision a future “thing” as a remedy for a current problem
I promise you it isn’t
Don’t be a dopamine monkey
Don’t look at the window when faced with your problems
Look in the mirror - “Sun Tzu”
(i used to think Sun Tzu was a zoo on the sun)
PSA - this is an informal newsletter and my b on missing last week as I had some family stuff happening, but still shredded on the PG front with 10 meetings and minimal input
I’ve had about 12 SDRs / AEs coming to me asking for coaching on prospecting / refining their strategy and cold calling training
Let’s say you’re in that boat (i’m not offering and don’t have time at the moment)
What would you want to see from cold call training / account strategy / prospecting frameworks?
To be able to best support someone, do you think meeting weekly, biweekly, monthy is best with stream of comms via slack / text?
Really appreciate you even reading something I took time to write
Hope you turn off your phone, spend some time with family, and come back with a fresh imprint of why you wake up in the morning.
